HI THERE!
My name is Rhett, and I am a lens-based artist located in Southern Louisiana specializing in film, infrared, and conceptual fine art photography. My art is a blend of the surreal and the day-to-day, a junction where dreams and reality walk hand-in-hand. My aim in photography is to find wonder and strangeness in the mundane and forgotten. I want my photographs to be an escape, for both myself and for those who view them. In an effort to further my craft, I recently started developing and scanning my own 35mm and medium format film, a process that is still evolving. My goal is to begin producing even more conceptual, surrealist photography and push myself as an artist. I am also a father of four, a husband, an educator, and an aspiring writer.
My photos have been featured in several journals and magazines, including Allegory Ridge, Abstract Magazine, deLuge Journal, Dream Pop Press, Bracken, and Aji Magazine. My Instagram handle is @framedfox. Recently, my work was displayed in Art Conscious Gallery in Arabi, Louisiana and SuperChief Gallery in Los Angeles.
